BUILDING It is the only surviving building of the old hospital and is one of London’s most romantic, historic venues to get married. HISTORY The chapel was built and designed by Victorian architect John Loughborough Pearson in 1891 as a memorial to the hospital’s former chairman, Major Ross MP. From 1929 – 2005, it offered a place of quiet contemplation and prayer for staff and patients. When the hospital closed in 2005, the chapel fell into disuse and the exquisite mosaic and marble were damaged. The venue was delicately restored by Caroe & Partners in 2011 and has been hosting beautiful weddings ever since.
