28 April 2015 - Item 2 Southern Shoalhaven NRFMC - 28 April 2015 - Item 5 SOUTHERN SHOALHAVEN NATURAL RESOURCE & FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MONDAY, 6 MAY 2013 STRATEGIC PLANNING AND INFRASTRUCTURE 1. Draft Lake Conjola Estuary Management Plan Review 2012 File 1438E PURPOSE: Delivery Program Activity: 2.1.1.12 To propose that the Committee recommend to Council that the draft Lake Conjola Estuary Management Plan Review 2012 be adopted. RECOMMENDED that Council adopt the draft Lake Conjola Estuary Management Plan Review 2012 with the changes as highlighted in the report and attachments OPTIONS 1. Adopt the recommendation of this report. 2. Propose and justify an alternate recommendation to Council. DETAILS The draft Lake Conjola Estuary Management Plan Review 2012 was placed on formal public exhibition from 10 October 2012 to 9 November 2012. The draft Plan integrated previous comments provided by the Natural Resources Committee members. As part of the community consultation, Council’s staff attended a meeting on 22 October 2012 of the Conjola District Lakecare Association to present, discuss and answer any queries relating to the Plan. # Three submissions were received during the public exhibition period, including a submission from NSW Department of Primary Industries (see Attachment ‘A’). Submissions are summarised in Attachment ‘B’. The plan has been revised to include considerations of submissions received and Council’s other strategic plans such as the Tourism Master Plan, draft LEP 2012 and Growth Management Strategy. The revised Plan is provided as Attachment ‘C’. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The actions identified by the plan will be gradually implemented through allocation of internal budget and grant funding applications.
