On July 6th, 96 golfers came together for a great day at Lake Michigan Hills Elementary Meet & Greet Golf Course to play in memory of a former teammate, classmate, friend and August 27, 6-7:30 P.M. son, Adam Tilly. Adam was a Parents Only recipient of the prestigious Thompson Scholarship, which is awarded September 5, 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. to outstanding students in the university’s civil engineering 7/8th Grade Back to School Night - Lauren Cook program. After graduating from Michigan Tech, he accepted a civil Parents Only engineering position with Pearson Construction Co. September 9, 6:00 P.M. In July 2006, Adam’s life was cut short by melanoma cancer. In High School Back to School Night memory of Adam, Hans Koppenhoefer has organized this yearly September 10 event. This once small outing among friends has grown Roosevelt Back to School Night into much more -- a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, AT53 September 11 Inc., awarding yearly scholarships to outstanding Lakeshore High First Late Start Wednesday School seniors. AT53 Inc., has proudly awarded $13,000.00 in Hollywood Back to School Night scholarships in the past six years. Great work, Hans! September 12 Stewart Back to School Night AT53 Inc. is proud to award two scholarships this year to October 5, 8:00-11:00 P.M. outstanding graduates. Lauren Cook, who will attend Grand Homecoming Dance - LHS Morgan Moore Valley State University and plans to earn her Bachelor of Science October 15 in nursing, and Morgan Moore, who will attend Alvernia MS/HS Parent Conferences University and plans to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy while also playing October 17 hockey. Best of luck ladies! Half Day All Students MS/HS Parent Conferences Adam is also remembered by his family’s gift to the football program, a storage October 18 building on the side of Lancer stadium. With golfers and volunteers coming LMS Choirs’ Fall Concert, LHS together for a wonderful event to honor and remember Adam.
