Media representatives enter XFINITY Arena through the credential door located at Hewitt Ave. and Lombard Ave. to access the building at the times indicated below. To pick-up credentials, please check-in at the Registration Room, located in Ballroom 3 on the second floor. What: The 2016 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships presented by Hershey’s, one of the sport’s premier international events, showcases the top male and female gymnasts from the Pacific Rim countries competing in artistic (men’s and women’s) gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline. The countries are Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, and the United States. U.S. Women’s Team: three-time World all-around champion Simone Bile of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, has been named to the U.S. Team. The rest of the women’s squad will be announced closer to the event. The medalists for both team and the all-around, as well as qualifiers for event finals, for men’s, women’s and rhythmic gymnastics are determined during the team competition. For trampoline, the first day of competition determines which athletes advance to the finals. The top eight in the rankings advance to the finals, and a maximum of two athletes per country are eligible to advance to the individual event finals. Workroom: Open only during the times noted above, the media workroom at XFINITY Arena is located close to the credential entrance. Photographers will need to set up in the media workroom. A media workroom is not available at the rhythmic gymnastics venue. Media seating: Media seating is located behind the production table and will be assigned. Any overflow media will be given a ticket. Internet service is available in both the media workroom and press section. Due to event teardown, media are asked to finish up in the media workroom post competition following the event finals. Interviews: Media day and post-competition interviews will be held either in the mixed zone or on the competition floor and use a mixed zone format. Hospitality: Light refreshments will be available during the media hours in the media workroom. Meals for media attending media day and the competition sessions will be provided Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Friday from 5-7 p.m.; Saturday from 5-7 p.m.; and Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Parking: Parking for media is at the County Garage at a discounted price of $3.
