He married Tabitha, also a writer, and had three children, two of whom are writers as well. 4 Stephen started writing as a columnist for the school newspaper, The Maine Campus, during his college years. After graduating with a B.A. in English and acquiring a high school teaching qualification at the same time, he worked as a laundry worker due to no teaching positions available temporarily. notes: 1. addict (n.) Some of his works have been adapted for films, which made him even more popular and allowed more people to get to know about him and his work. 7 Here are some of his most well-known books and films: “The Shining,” “Stand by Me,” “Pet Sematary,” “The Green Mile,” “The Shawshank Redemption,” “Misery,” “Carrie,” “1408,” “The Mist,” “It,” “Secret Window” and “Dreamcatcher.” How many of them have you read or watched?
