They are illustrated and compared with similar genera Cupeyalia Zayas, 1975, Ipochus LeConte, 1852, Maisi Zayas, 1975, Nanilla Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1889 and Plaumanniella Fisher, 1938. Caudelytra quadrispinosus Franz, 1954 is reinstated and transferred to Mecynome Bates, 1885. É ilustrada e comparada com gêneros similares Cupeyalia Zayas, 1975, Ipochus LeConte, 1852, Maisi Zayas, 1975, Nanilla Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1889 e Plau- manniella Fisher, 1938. Palavras-chave: Lamiinae, Parmenini, América do Sul, taxonomia Introduction The worldwide distributed Parmenini Mulsant, 1839 are represented in the Western Hemisphere (Monné, Bezark & Hovore 2008) by 20 genera: Plectrura Mannerheim, 1852, distributed from Alaska to northern Cal- ifornia; Ipochus LeConte, 1852 and Parmenosoma Schaeffer, 1908, with species from the western United States and northern Mexico; Echthistatus Pascoe, 1862, Mecynome Bates, 1885, Neoplectrura Chemsak & Linsley, 1983, and Parananilla Breuning, 1956, from Mexico; Edechthistatus Monné, 2005, from Honduras; Cupeyalia Zayas, 1975, Maisi Zayas, 1975, and Nanilla Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1889, from Cuba and Guadeloupe; Schreiteria Melzer, 1933, from the Andes of Colombia and Argentina, Gracililamia Breuning, 1961, from the Andes of Ecuador, and Tuberolamia Breuning, 1940, from the Peruvian Andes; Cleptonotus Breuning, 1950, Cleptosoma Breuning, 1950, Hoplocleptes Breuning, 1947, Microcleptes Newman, 1840, and Neohoplonotus Monné, 2005 from Chile; and Plaumanniella Fisher, 1938, from southern Brazil. The cactus-feeding genus Moneilema Say, 1824 was placed by Breuning in Parmenini (1950: 151), but Linsley & Chemsak (1984: 18), following Thomson (1864: 43) and LeConte (1873: 331), recognized it as belonging to the tribe Moneilemini.
