Your success is our priority! We are constantly identifying new and expanded approaches for offering transfer, career and business and industry education so that we may better serve our diverse student and community populations. During the 2006-07 academic year, we will continue to expand our liberal arts and sciences program which leads to the AA degree and is accepted for transfer to four-year baccalaureate universities. We also have some new and exciting career programs in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, wine professionals, biomedical precision machining, chemical technology and visualization which combine the arts and computer sciences. These programs are supported by tutoring centers, student life programs, and career center services which will assist students in completing their program and in making the transition to further education and/or the world of work as seamless as possible. We are especially pleased to announce two major initiatives that will be launched this year which will help us to better serve our students and the community! A $10,000,000 major building renovation project will commence which will greatly improve the facilities of a number of our trade and technical programs and provide a new biology lab thanks to funding from the Minnesota Legislature. We are also very pleased to participate in a collaborative effort with Minneapolis CTC and Metropolitan State University called The Power of You! This program will provide qualified Saint Paul and Minneapolis Class of 2006 high school graduates the ability to attend Saint Paul College or Minneapolis Community & Technical College tuition-free! This was made possible by generous support by a number of Foundations and support from community groups. We are committed to increase the number of Saint Paul graduates who will attend and succeed in college and in the work place!
