Then the Positive Dementia Group might be for you! It’s for people with dementia in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and the group has already influenced dementia friendly improvements at Aberdeen Airport and the ferry services and raised awareness about dementia by giving talks to healthcare students among other things. We are now looking for new members to join the group, and work on projects which would make a difference to people with dementia in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Carers are also welcome. Previous group members have felt that the group has given them mutual support and social opportunities, helped them maintain a fulfilling life, increased confidence and instilled a positive outlook on life. Our next meetings are on Wednesday, 12th February from 10.30am – 12.30pm and on Tuesday, 17th March at 12noon – 2pm at the Aberdeen Dementia Resource Centre, 13 – 19 King Street and includes a sandwich lunch. If you’d like to find out more about the group please contact either Lesley Gray or Mags Corbett on 01224 644077.
