(No BYO spirits or fortified wine) Dean Sinclair – Tenor Dean loves the G&S comedic characters, and played KoKo in the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney 2010 production of The Mikado, and Robin Oakapple in Ruddigore. Operetta features extensively in Dean’s musical theatre experience. He has performed the roles of Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, & the Rev Dr Daly, in The Sorcerer. He’s sung Grosvenor in Patience, Jack Point in The Yeomen of the Guard, Luiz in The Gondoliers, & Sir Joseph Porter in HMS Pinafore. His further light opera outings have included roles in such musical gems as The Arcadians, The Gypsy Baron, Showboat, and The Count of Luxembourg. Dean particularly loves singing the beautiful songs of Ivor Novello, Franz Lehar, and Jerome Kern. In September this year Dean performed as Sir Joseph Porter in HMS Pinafore with the Gilbert & Sullivan Company. Linda Barcan – Mezzo-soprano Linda has performed with Opera Australia as Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Valetto in The Coronation of Poppea, Sister Martha in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Lead Ensemble in Sweeney Todd, First Apprentice in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and Leila in Lolanthe. In concert Linda has performed for the Opera Australia Benevolent Fund, Sinfonia de Lyon, Opera Hunter, Opera & Arts Support Group, Sydney Youth Orchestra, Ecole Territoriale de Musique de Nouvelle-Calédonie, and across Australia in cabaret for the French Navy, French Consulate, French Embassy and the Alliance Française. She may be heard on recordings for Virgin, Decca, Warner, Radio France, and has featured in broadcasts for the ABC and Radio France. Linda now teaches singing in Music Theatre, Classical Voice and Opera Studies at the Western Australian Academy of the Performing Arts (WAAPA) in Perth, WA. Marie-Louise Catsalis Marie-Louise is a formally trained pianist. She completed a graduate opera repetiteur course in 1993 at Sydney Conservatorium, represented Australia at the Voice & Piano Program, Pacific Music Festival, Saporo, Japan. She has given recitals with the chamber soloists of the Vienna Philharmonic & Santa Celica Cecilia Orchestras, played in the festival's orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas, & worked with composer Lou Harrison. In 1998 she completed a Master of Music at the University of New England. This led to her doctoral studies at the University of Newcastle (conferred 2005) and an Italian government scholarship to study the serenatas of Alessandro Scarlatti. She moved to the United States in 2003, and has been developing musical theatre and opera programs at North Carolina Central..
