Volunteer Week Highlights April 15 - 21 2018 Honourary Co-Chairs 2018 We extend a huge thank you to our Honourary Co-Chairs this year who participated in the many volunteer week proclamation signings and celebration events. Dr. Lloydetta Quaicoe Proclamations Signings and Celebrations Chief Joe Boland Sharing Our Cultures of Volunteers Across the Province Royal Newfoundland Constabulary A provincial proclamation was signed by Minister Tom Volunteer Week Committee Members Osborne, together with the Honourary Co-Chairs Chief LeighAnne O’Neill, Co-Chair Laurabel Mba Joe Boland and Dr. Royal St. Johns’ Regatta VOCM Cares Lloydetta Quaicoe, Roberta Hewitt, Co- Chair Shane Regular and Penny Rowe, CEO St. John Ambulance Student Volunteer Bureau CSC NL. Members of Bernard Davis Kelly Sandoval the Volunteer Week Government NL RogersTV Committee were also Michelle Hunt Keith White in attendance. The Recreation NL Mount Pearl Frosty Festival Honourary Co-Chairs and members of the Committee Lori Letto Cecil Whitten also participated in proclamation signings and volunteer City of St. John’s Cerebral Palsy Association week celebrations with the City of St. John’s and Mount Amanda Lush A big thank you! Annual Volunteerism Luncheon-March 2018 Government House Reception The annual Volunteerism luncheon is held each year to Their Honours, the highlight the theme for Volunteer Week and to kick off Honourable Frank planning of events for voluntary organizations. Volunteer Week Celebration Grants 2018 In 2018, in partnership with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and with the kind support of Volunteer Week sponsors we were able to offer $100 grants to 80 organizations and/or communities to celebrate the value of volunteering across Newfoundland and Labrador.
