The Reggia of Monza: The Royal Villa, Gardens, Park. Built by order of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria as a summer residence for her son, Ferdinand I, Governor of Lombardy, the Royal Villa of Monza is now an important place where Art and Culture merge to amaze visitors. A jewel that becomes more and more important even from a naturalistic and ecological perspective. Its park and gardens in fact are an irreplaceable breathing space for hundreds of thousands of people and a heaven for many plant and animal species. The scenic beauty, clean air and presence in nearby Brianza of enchanting places make Monza a real Lombard treasure. The Royal Villa and its Park extend for almost 700 hectares (one of the largest historical parks in Europe and the largest one enclosed by walls), the gardens, villa, farmsteads, mills are a priceless natural, historical, monumental and architectural resource The Racing Circuit. Immersed in the Monza Park, a short walk from the Royal Villa, the circuit looks like a multi-purpose centre, an important stage for small and large events, exhibitions and fairs. In addition to the traditional services of a location equipped with modern facilities, the circuit also includes tracks, paddocks, boxes and hospitality areas that make each event unique and customisable. The wide internal and external spaces, and multipurpose halls of varying sizes provide the flexibility to adapt perfectly to the most varied needs and requirements. The duration of the Tour is as follows: from a minimum of one hour to visit the circuit facilities up to a maximum of 1 ½ hours if a lap of the track is included. There are four departure times between 10:00 and 17:00. Paid tours are organised on request, starting from a minimum of 10 participants and are scheduled based on the following calendar: Monday to Sunday, in accordance with the needs of the annual program of the Racing Circuit. AUTODROMO NAZIONALE 7 www.monzanet.it MONZA Museum of Speed. The Museum contains physical memorabilia and multimedia exhibits and focuses on the theme of speed, not only related to the world of Formula One, but also to sport prototype cars, motorcycling and motorsports in general. The focus is on the glorious past of the Racing Circuit, but also on its present and future. AUTODROMO 8 NAZIONALE MONZA www.monzanet.it Outdoor Museum. For a unique and complete experience of the Monza Racing Circuit, the Museum of Speed opens out towards the outside and, through multimedia displays, recounts the historical sites of the circuit, such as the elevations, Parabolic curve and Ascari curve, as well as the straight track with the innovative elevated podium. AUTODROMO NAZIONALE 9 www.monzanet.it MONZA Kart A brand new karting track conceived and designed for entertainment activities and incentive programs will be built in a 14.000 sqm area inside the Parabolic curve, not far from the paddock. The track, safe and well organized, will have a length of about 400 mt and an average width of 8 mt. A fully equipped “Paddock” area will complete the karting compound. It will be possible to hire Go-Karts and equipment for individual free practice sessions or in groups as well as to organize endurance races between friends or to enjoy the thrill of a real competition kart with breathtaking performances! For the little ones, 50 cc Go-Kart racing will be available on a section of the track designed to learn the rudiments of race driving in total safety and followed by a specialized and highly experienced staff.
