Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation‟s College of Pharmacy has a very humble beginning in 1994 with the words “We Pharmacists Caring the People Globally” situated at Vilad ghat, Ahmednagar city (Maharashtra State, India) as a part of Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation. Latter the college went from strength to strength and has reached this stage, since its inception to the high pinnacles of success it has achieved in different fields. The college strives to keep abreast with the latest technological advancement and provides a learning environment to the students to grow and make significant contributions in the Pharmacy profession. The college shall continue to endeavour in creating competent Pharmacrat which shall contribute for a better and healthy society. With the changing scenario in the field of technical education the college has always been enthusiastic to explore the frontiers of knowledge to meet the challenges and demands of tomorrow. The college is continuously involved in organizing the quality improvement programs through availing funds from various agencies and even self financed also. These events have covered thrust areas like Clinical Trials, Drug Design Techniques, Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Lead Molecules from Natural Product, Experimental Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Quality by Design and Development, Generic Product Development, Computational Chemistry in Anticancer Drug Research, Pharmaceutical Product Development and Technology Transfer. We create the success story by tapping the individual‟s inherent strengths, eliminating weaknesses, arming him with outstanding skills and placing him in the world of opportunities. It is our noble objective to prepare the young generation for the challenges of tomorrow. Faculty is the goodwill of the college and we are having twenty six full time qualified faculty with University recognized Ph. D. guides and P.G. teachers. We have five Ph.D. qualified faculty and remaining faculty are pursuing their Ph.D. research. All the staff members ensures efficient knowledge inputs to the students through good teaching practices like continuous assessment through sessionals, personal counseling and mentoring, remedial and tutorial classes, assignments, guidance for research project competition, paper presentation in seminars, minor research project and paper writing. It is a matter of pride that till date we have received grants from several funding agencies under research promotion scheme, quality improvement program and development grant. One major and ten minor research projects have been successfully completed in our college under different faculty members from various departments. As on date 286 research papers have been published by our faculty in various national and international journals of repute, four books and one patent are in the credit of our faculty. Even our students represent college by participating in various research paper presentation competitions & conferences and secured best paper awards. We are a well-established organization, offering quality technical education in the nurturing environment with modern methodology. Our institution has been set up to meet the requirement of current scenario. Our pharmacrat must do the best for building a strong and vibrant India. All the facilities that are required for the best educational hub are made available to impart quality training to students to enable them to discharge responsibilities in the corporate world. Pad. There are 18 well equipped laboratories with sophisticated instruments. Library and reading room is heart of institute. Our library is stacked with 13000 books, journals, periodicals and e-journals with a pleasant air-conditioned reading room.
