Adam Boulton ’84 Political reporter, Sky News Tonight Adam is a broadcaster and political reporter. He presents Sky News Tonight, each weekday from 7pm – 9pm. He is Editor at Large for Sky News with a roaming brief. Adam was a founding member of the Sky News team and political editor from 1989 to 2014. Adam hosted Sky News’ historic televised debate between the three party leaders ahead of the 2010 General Election. He has anchored Sky’s UK General Election Night coverage for the last seven campaigns. On special assignment covering the beginning of the Obama Presidency Adam conducted the first UK exclusive broadcast interview with the President. As Sky News' Political Editor, He has interviewed every British Prime Minister from Alec Douglas‐Home to David Cameron. His questioning of George W. Bush featured in the film “Taking Liberties”. He remains the only TV journalist spontaneously to have interviewed the Queen on political developments(1987). Adam is a winner of the Royal Television Society’s supreme Judges’ Award and was elected 2007 Chairman of the Parliamentary Lobby. His programmes have been voted “Current Affairs Show Of The Year.” The critic Clive James described The Boulton Factor as “the best entertainment for grown‐ ups.” Adam is the author of two books ‘Tony’s Ten Years’ and (with Joey Jones) ‘Hung Together’. He is the political columnist for the Sunday Times. Before Sky, Adam was Political Editor of TV‐am. He has Masters degrees from Oxford and Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) and honorary doctorates from Sheffield Hallam and Plymouth Universities.
