The Journal of the BSA Motorcycle Club of NSW Inc Meetings: 8pm, 1st Thursday of each month at Prospect Hotel, 3 Great Western Highway, Prospect Vol 40 #3 May-June 2020 1 SHEDDING TIME It’s with sadness we have to report that Steve Moore passed away last Monday. As a number of us know, Steve managed to come along to meetings regularly, despite being severely disabled and several members volunteered to help him rebuild his Bantam, running “build days “at Steve’s place, as reported in a previous Banter. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. We are still locked out of monthly meetings at Prospect, but hope to get the OK to meet soon. Vic has been reviving club runs slowly and we should have them back to (almost) normal soon, but no trips to Victoriastan! On the shed side, I’ve decided to admit that I can’t spray paint worth a damn, and have collected all the tinware requiring a nice glossy black coat for a trip to a local spray painter. The hunt for correct chromed B34 rigid mudguards continues - “rocking-horse manure” comes to mind. I’m after a bike that’s mostly there and not looking for a perfect restoration, more of a reliable bike I can start on a sunny day and two up with the boys. I’m open to look at other models if it above 500cc, but not after earlier models that require a lot of upkeep and not as reliable. Any help to keep me off the streets is appreciated.
