Song request: Apt. 215 Air Force Anthem PH: 351-2803 Eileen and Mark Beckman are joining us from Pleasant Ridge, where they have lived for the past 54 years. Both grew up in Cincinnati just a few blocks from each other. They have been a couple for 66 years and married for 60. They were married shortly after Mark graduated from the University of Notre Dame. They were immediately relocated to Texas where Mark was stationed in the Air Force in flight school. After various sales positions, Mark started his own pension administration firm. Eileen was focused on raising their five children. Once she had them well on their way, she attended Xavier University, graduating with an accounting degree at age 50 and a 4.0 average. She enjoyed working for an accounting firm for a few years before joining Mark at his pension administration firm. Mark enjoys dogs, WWII history and flying. Eileen enjoys reading, cooking, playing bridge and knitting. For many years, Mark volunteered for the Cincinnati Association for the Blind where he created one of their most popular shows, “Let’s Remember”. He is a member of the Metallic Club. Eileen volunteered as the librarian for Nativity Grade School near their home and ran the gift shop at St. Margaret Hall. They have five children, nine grandchildren and three step- grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Please help us welcome Eileen and Mark Beckman to Deupree House.
