A Santhosh Kumar filed a complaint dated 15-02-2018 which was received by this Commission on 19-02-2018 for not getting the information sought by him from the Public Information Officer/ O/o the District Educational Officer, Medchal District. The brief facts of the case as per the Complaint and other records received along with it are that the complainant herein filed an application dated 16-12-2017 before the Public Information Officer requesting to furnish the information under Sec.6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005, on the following points mentioned in his application annexed. TSIC The Public Information Officer through Lr.No. 5473/A3/RTI/2017 dated 28-12- 2017 returned the application to the complainant with a request to submit application along with postal order in favour of Public Information Officer/O/o the District Educational Officer, & Ex-Officio, DPO,SSA, Medchal District. Stating that the complainant was not satisfied with the reply of the Public Information Officer, he preferred this Complaint before the Commission requesting to arrange to furnish the information sought by him u/s 18(1) of the RTI Act, 2005. Basing on the material papers available on record, the complaint is taken on file and notices were sent to the parties concerned directing them to appear before this Commission for hearing on 15-05-2019 at Hyderabad. The Public Information Officer is also warned not to repeat such lapses in future in attending the applications filed under RTI Act in time, failing which action will be initiated under section 20 of RTI Act.
