This concept was spectacularly demonstrated by the 2nd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire (2nd Oxs & Bucks) Regiment when they captured Pegasus Bridge in Normandy. These elite troops went into action again during Varsity, landing under fire in the operation’s toughest landing zone.
