Important Meeting Dates Below you will find a list of meeting dates during which you can depute to our City Councillors around the value of the city services and programs that make Toronto more equitable, accessible, healthier and more prosperous. Standing Committees – Starting the week of July 18 What is a Standing Committee? Standing committees have distinct mandates in areas of public service delivery and corporate operations, including: monitoring current program delivery, service levels and emerging issues; recommending policy and program changes. Members of the public may arrange to speak or send in comments to these committees. Note that Committees make recommendations to City Council for a final decision. Why Should I go to a meeting? The results of the program review from the Core Service Review for selected City divisions will go to standing committees beginning the week of July 18.
