Catalog #: K90023C Lot #: 6B03510 Description: Sheep anti Complement C3c Sheep Antibody to Human Complement C3c Specificity: Gives a single arc when tested by IEP against human plasma. Identity is confirmed by double diffusion (Ouchterlony) against human plasma and a known anti-human C3c. The cross reactivity of this product against the sera of the species listed below as been determined by double diffusion using 10 µL antiserum against 5 µL species serum. These results are intended as a guideline only. It is possible that cross-reactivity against species listed as a negative may be observed when using different test conditions or techniques. Dog + Cat + Horse + Chicken - Rat + Mouse + Rabbit + Pig + Cow + G. Pig - Human + Goat - Host Animal: Sheep Immunogen: Human C3c, purified from serum, shown to be pure by SDS-PAGE. Format: Purified, Liquid Purification: Antiserum is prepared by immunization of sheep with the above antigen and, if necessary, absorbed to monospecificity by use of solid-phase adsorbents. An immunoglobulin fraction is then produced. The titer is adjusted so that inter-batch variation is within 10%. Product is 0.2 µm filtered. Concentration: 14.43 mg/mL (OD280nm, E1% = 14.5) Buffer: Glycine Buffered Saline, pH 7.4 Preservative: 0.099% Sodium Azide, 0.1% EACA, 0.01% Benzamidine, 1 mM ETDA. Applications: Suitable for use in a variety of gel techniques including radial immunodiffusion (RID), double diffusion, immunoelectrophoresis (IEP). Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Suitability for use in nephelometry, immunohistochemical procedures, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and Western blot has not been assessed but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded. The use of 3% PEG 6000 with 1.2% agarose in a suitable buffer (such as TBE or Tris-barbital pH > 8.2) is recommended. RID: 1 µL antiserum/cm2 gel vs 5 µL 1:5 – 1:50 dilution human plasma Double diffusion: 10 µL antiserum vs 5 µL plasma IEP: 100 µL antiserum vs 5 µL plasma Catalog #K90023C Page 2 of 2 Storage: Store at 2–8°C. Slight precipitation may occur on storage which may be removed by centrifugation and should not affect performance characteristics. Warnings: This product contains sodium azide, which has been classified as Xn (Harmful), in European Directive 67/548/EEC in the concentration range of 0.1 – 1.0 %. When disposing of this reagent through lead or copper plumbing, flush with copious volumes of water to prevent azide build-up in drains. 30 September 2013 Signature Date FOR RESEARCH OR FURTHER MANUFACTURING USE ONLY. .
