Gujarat, India Abstract In literature the perception of Regionalism or local colour usually refers to fiction or poetry that focuses on specific features- incorporating characters, dialects, customs, history and topography of a particular region. Jhaverchand Meghani (1896-1947) was a celebrated Gujarati poet, litterateur, social reformer and freedom fighter.
