Obviously, it was Derby against Drogheda United up together. 6 | DFC MAGAZINE Dundalk v Drogheda United | Saturday April 24th 2021 DFC MAGAZINE | 7 COACHES CORNER STEPHEN MCDONNELL onight is the first time we’ve played a competitive Louth Derby in four years and we’re expecting a tough assignment against TDrogheda United. Their recruitment in the off-season was very shrewd. They brought in players that were here; Ronan Murray and Dane Massey, and they also signed Gary Deegan from Shelbourne, so they have a lovely balance. I watched them over the last two or three years when they were just pipped at the post in the First Division but last year they won it and they’ve got this really nice balance of youth in the right areas and experience in the right areas so it’s definitely going to be a tough task.
