Ironwood Trio Concert Date: Friday, Oct. 17 Time: 8:00 p.m. Location: von Kuster Hall Free Admission Virtuoso clarinet players gather at Western to share the expressive range of a clarinet trio. They promote new works, many of which are commissioned by the trio. The concert at the Don Wright Faculty of Music features a transcription by Western alumnus Jeff Smallman. Smallman transcribed Borodin's String Trio n G minor and the final movement of Gabriel Faure's Piano Trio in D minor. The program also includes innovative new works by Jeff Lambert and Jorge Montilla with multiphonics, improvisation and percussion.
