Every new mosque should have a school, Akbaruddin Owaisi advises in Malegaon By : INVC Team Published On : 1 Mar, 2015 11:47 AM IST INVC NEWS Malegaon, Emphasising the importance of education, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) senior leader and Telangana legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi Friday while addressing a huge rally in Malegaon urged the crowd to build mosques with schools. “Building mosques is a noble task. Make sure that every new mosque built henceforth has an English or Urdu medium school”, he urged the crowd of more than ten thousand people, mostly powerloom weavers. Akbaruddin Owaisi arrived in Malegaon Friday to lay the foundation stone of a school and health centre. On arrival in the city, Akbaruddin Owaisi was greeted by firecrackers and slogans: ‘Baccha Baccha Meem ka, Akbar bhai ki team ka’. Owaisi will be staying in the city overnight before proceeding to Hyderabad in the morning on Saturday. Owaisi also said that the school the MIM Malegaon planned to build in the city would provide free education to the children of poor weavers. Owaisi during his maiden visit to Malegaon while campaigning for the MIM candidate had promised to build a school and hospital in the city – irrespective of the election result. During his more than an hour long speech, Owaisi also criticised the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance government in Maharashtra for denying reservation to Muslims and said Muslims will remain backward without the quota as demanded by the community. “We do not have any objection on Maratha reservation. But, Muslims of the state too deserve the same privileges. They also want to become doctors and engineers. Like others in the country, they too have the desire to contribute in nation building. But, they do not have opportunities”, he said. “Muslims want to see this great nation becoming a super power. Reservation will provide them the needed opportunities. Not Muslims alone, it will also help in building a strong and flourishing nation”, he said. Akbaruddin Owaisi also rejected the notion that Muslims are ‘second class’ citizens in the country. “Akbaruddin Owaisi has the same right as citizen of this country as is enjoyed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We are not inferior to anyone in India”, he said. Mocking the statements by some of the BJP MPs and leaders advising Hindu women to give birth to at least four or five children, Akbaruddin Owaisi said, “All these leaders are ‘proud’ bachelors. “They are also associated with the RSS which is proud of being a ‘Club of bachelors’. It’s amazing such an advice to Hindu women is coming from the people who are not married.” “First get married then issue such an advice”, he said to a loud applause from a strong crowd of over ten thousands gathered on Azeez Kallu Cricket Stadium Ground. Akbaruddin Owaisi also took on Rahul Gandhi over his much publicized ‘leave’ from the parliament budget session and demand by the Congress leaders to elevate him as party president. “Congress ka sadr aur is mulk ka prime minister banane se pehle is bacche ko doolha bano. (He should get married before becoming Congress president or prime minister)”, he said. “Once he starts living with wife and children, he will become more mature and responsible”, he said URL : https://www.internationalnewsandviews.com/every-new-mosque-should-have-a-school-akbaruddin-owaisi-advises-in-malega on/ 12th year of news and views excellency www.internationalnewsandviews.com Committed to truth and impartiality Copyright © 2009 - 2019 International News and Views Corporation.
