Travel Information HOW TO GET AROUND KYIV BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT You can get around by metro, bus, trolleybus, tram or buses (locally called ‘marshrutka’) in Kyiv. You can buy metro tickets from the cash-desks or token-machines at the metro stations. The bus tickets can be purchased directly from the bus drivers. The token and ticket prices for both metro and buses are the same for all districts of Kyiv. Unfortunately you can’t buy bus or marshrutka tickets in advance, but you can purchase a few metro tokens for your trips around Kyiv at once. There is also a website with the schedules and routes of all public transport in Kyiv: https://www.eway.in.ua/en/cities/kyiv Ticket Price One-trip metro ride 4 UAH One-trip trolleybus / tram ride 3 UAH One-trip bus/marshrutkas ride 6-8 UAH SKY Bus 322 (from the Kyiv Boryspil Airport to 50 UAH the metro station Kharkivska) USE OF TAXI Arriving at either Kyiv Borsyspil Airport (KBP) or Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany (IEV), you will find taxies lined up in front of the terminal. The cost in such taxis will be charged per kilometer, but you are advised to clarify the price before the start of the ride. The overall cost should not exceed the approximate price that you can find below under Point 1.5 “Travel by Taxi”. 1. How to get to the hotel and conference venue Radisson Blu Hotel • Address: Radisson Blu Hotel, Yaroslaviv Val St, 22, Kyiv, Ukraine, 01054, +380 44 492 2200 • Closest metro station: Zoloti Vorota (342) 1.1 Travelling from the Kyiv Boryspil Airport (KBP) (Image 1) Please take the SkyBus 322 from B, D or F terminal. The intervals between bus departures are approx. 15 minutes during daytime and 30-45 minutes at night. The final destination of this bus will be the Central Railway Station. For the way from Central Railway Station to the hotel, please see 1.3. in this document. Alternatively (faster option), leave the SkyBus at an earlier stop – metro station Kharkivska (324). As you get off the bus, please go downstairs to take the metro (direction Syrets) to the station Zoloti Vorota (314). At the 1 Image 1 station, exit in the direction of Yaroslaviv Val. Once you get upstairs, walk diagonally left across the Golden Gate Park to the beginning of the Yaroslaviv Val street. Follow the street for about 400 m until you see the hotel on your right. 1.2 Travelling from the Kyiv International Airport Zhuliany (IEV) (Image 1) At the bus stop outside of the Terminal A, please take Trolleybus 22 in direction Olzhycha Str. or Bus 565 in direction Petrivka Station until the Dorohozhychi metro station. At the station, take the train in direction Chervonyi Khutir until Zoloti Vorota (314). At the station exit to the direction of Yaroslaviv Val. Once you are outside, walk diagonally left across the Golden Gate Park to the beginning of the Yaroslaviv Val street. Follow the street for about 400 m until you see the hotel on your right. 1.3 Travelling from the Central Railway Station 1.3.1 By metro (Image 2) As you exit the Central Railway Station from the main door, please go left to the Vokzalna (117) metro station. Take the train in direction Lisova to the station Teatralna (119). Once there, change to Zoloti Vorota (314) station and exit in the direction of Yaroslaviv Val. As you get outside, please walk diagonally left across the Golden Gate Park to the beginning of the Yaroslaviv Val street. Follow the street for about 400 m until you see the hotel on your right. 1.3.2 By bus (Image 2) Take the Bus 7 in direction of Lvivska Square (this is a final stop where you also need to get off) or Bus 181 in direction Tarasa Shevchenka square from the bus stop directly in front of the Central Railway Station. Get off at the Lvivska Square. Walk across to the Yaroslaviv Val Street. From there walk for about 450 m until you see the hotel on your left. Image 2 1.4 Travelling from the Central Bus Station Directly outside of the Central Bus Station, please enter the metro at the Demiivska (222) station. Take the train in direction Heroiv Dnipra to stop Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho (218). At Ploshcha Lva Tolstoho, please switch to Palats Sportu (315) station on the green line. From there take the metro in direction Syrets to station Zoloti Vorota (314). Please exit in the direction of Yaroslaviv Val. As you get outside, walk diagonally left across the Golden Gate Park to the beginning of the Yaroslaviv Val street. Follow the street for about 400 m until you see the hotel on your right (see Image 1). 2 1.5 By Taxi You can find taxi stands directly outside of both of the airports, the central railway station as well as the central bus station.
