Mayor Ann Ferguson It is critical that we carefully plan for our future to achieve a positive, safe and sustainable future, whilst ensuring the lifestyle and business advantages of the District are maintained. Transport and traffic management is an essential element of planning for growth and the development of our District. This Transport Master Plan informs the future direction for building successful, sustainable and efficient transport networks for the District. Council is preparing for the future by planning for infrastructure projects and implementing a series of actions and strategies for the District. During the development of the Transport Master Plan there has been extensive consultation with both community and State Government to ensure this is a robust plan that is reflective of the needs of our community. This Plan deals with the transport investment and planning necessary in this time of popula- tion growth, and offers integrated and efficient transport solutions that meet future and cur- rent needs.
