The information included here is based on the release notes for each release. For information on releases in the 2.X.X series for devices running Windows Mobile 2003, please see the documentation accompanying that product. Note that as of the 3.3.0 release, Pointsec for Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5) was renamed Pointsec Mobile Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5). In the 3.4.0 release, (Windows Mobile 5) was removed from the product name. The product is now called Pointsec Mobile Pocket PC. Therefore, versions prior to 3.3.0 are referred to as Pointsec for Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5), and versions 3.3.0 through 3.3.4 are referred to as Pointsec Mobile Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5) in the documentation. This document contains the following chapters: • “Product Version Tracking” on page 2, containing information on the changes and corrections made and the devices supported in each release. • “Device Tracking” on page 35, which lists each device and the release or releases that support it. Certain OEMs, however, have not followed this standard. As a result, the recovery file name could not be guaranteed to be unique on devices that did not have a GSM or CDMA phone. Pointsec Mobile now uses the UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) to identify the device. Pointsec Mobile Pocket PC Revision and Device Tracking.
