He defeated the Moabites, but did not stay true to God. Israel then defeated Judah! King Amaziah died. Uzziah then became king. He did what was right in the sight of God, but his pride overtook him. He sinned. He tried to burn incense to the LORD, but that was not his place. God PRAYER: caused him to have leprosy. God demands Dear God, humility! You are all-knowing. You took the victory from King Amaziah and King Memory Verse: Psalms 136:17 Uzziah because of their pride. “to Him who smote great kings, for His mercy Thank you for being the one and true God. endures for ever;” Help me to be humble about my own victories. Open my eyes that I may see, WORD TO KNOW: Idols and pride take victory from me.
