‘STOP THE WEDDING’ CAST BIOS RACHEL BOSTON (Anna) – Born and raised in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Rachel Boston fell in love with theater at the age of 7 when she was cast in a church play. At the age of 17, she moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. Rachel received a scholarship to study at New York University and later moved to Los Angeles to begin filming NBC's Award Winning Television Series "American Dreams." Boston starred alongside Julia Ormond and Jenna Dewan-Tatum in the Lifetime series "Witches of East End." Boston was one of TV Line's 15 Fresh Faces of Fall for her work portraying wide eyed librarian Ingrid Beauchamp and "TV Guide" included Boston in their "Hot List" issue honoring the year's best shows. For her starring role as Mindy in the independent feature "The Pill," Boston was honored with the Stargazer Award for the most talented emerging actress at the Gen Art Film Festival in New York City, the Best Actress Award from the San Diego Film Festival, and the Emerging Artist Award from the Big Apple Film Festival. Filmed in Manhattan, "The Pill," which also took home the Gen Art Film Festival Audience Award. She previously appeared with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel in the Golden Globe® nominated film "500 Days of Summer," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to win an Independent Spirit Award for Best Screenplay. She also co-starred alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner in the romantic comedy "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past." Boston executive produced and starred in "Black Marigolds," which reunited her with Noah Bean, her co-star from "The Pill." She has served as an associate producer on several television movies including “A Ring By Spring,” “A Gift of Miracles,” and “Holiday Reunion.” Previously, Boston starred in the CBS comedy series "The Ex List" as Daphne Bloome and on the USA series "In Plain Sight." Some of her guest-starring appearances include "Grey's Anatomy," "Curb Your Enthusiasm, "ER," "NCIS," "Rules of Engagement," "The Closer," "Crossing Jordan," and "Mad Love." Boston began her career in television on NBC's award- winning series "American Dreams," playing Beth Mason, the strong-willed girlfriend to J.J. Pryor (Will Estes). Set in the 1960's, Beth brought a wave of female independence and a voice of modern-day opinions as she laid the groundwork for the ever-changing world issues, including equality for women. Boston has been involved with The Blank Theater Company often appearing in the Young Playwrights Festival. She loves music and theater and currently lives in Los Angeles. ### (more) NIALL MATTER (Clay) – Niall Matter, originally from small town Alberta, Canada, started out working on oil rigs before pursuing a career in film. He got his first break when he signed on as Trent Hamilton for the hit Canadian TV series “The Best Years.” He is best known for his series regular role, Zane, on “Eureka” (NBC/UNI/SYFY) and as the lead on “Primeval: New World” (SPACE/SYFY). Niall keeps a balance of working on Canadian as well as American projects; recently guest starring on TNT's “Rizzoli and Isles” starring Angie Harmon, NBC’s “Constantine,” ABC’s “Motive,” as well as a starring role alongside Julia Styles in TNT’s pilot “Guilt by Association.” In the past, he has also appeared on the Canadian series “Arctic Air” in a recurring role and the independent feature film “Ally Was Screaming” alongside Camille Sullivan. Notably, Niall was also hand selected to portray the Mothman in Zach Snyder's “Watchmen” and had major recurring roles on “Melrose Place” and “90210” (CW). In 2015 Niall had a major recurring role on Global's “Remedy” alongside Enrico Colantoni and (Primeval: New World costar) Sarah Canning and most recently completed filming a lead role in the Hallmark movie “Stop the Wedding.” ### ALAN THICKE (Miles) - Alan is a seven-time Emmy® nominee... often referred to as “America’s Dad” for his seven-year stint as patriarch Jason Seaver on “Growing Pains.” Alan’s current labor of love is the sitcom/reality hybrid “Unusually Thicke” (POP net in U.S./Global net in Canada) which finds the humor in Alan’s family’s real-life exploits. The show’s instant popularity prompted a second (and third) season, airing September 2015. He began as a writer for TV series including Flip Wilson, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Glen Campbell, Barry Manilow, Olivia Newton-John, and Fernwood Tonite. He has composed over 40 TV themes, including ‘Facts of Life’ & ‘Diff’rent Strokes’ (which he sang!) In live theatre, Alan appeared on Broadway as lawyer Billy Flynn in the musical, Chicago, and in Promises, Promises and Mame (Hollywood Bowl). His most recent theatre appearance was as Jack Bailey in the world premiere of Queen For A Day: the Musical. Recently, Alan starred in “JPOD”, a comedy-drama series for the CBC Network … “I’m in the Band” (Disney), as well as in feature films including, “The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard,” with Will Farrell and Jeremy Piven… “I Hate You, Dad” (Adam Sandler)…”BankStas”…”It’s Not My Fault”…. He was a recurring guest on “How I Met Your Mother” and “Real Time with Bill Maher,” as well as a handful of popular Hallmark holiday films. Alan’s book, “How To Raise Kids Who Won’t Hate You” has been a popular sequel to his amusing “How Men Have Babies: The Pregnant Father’s Survival Guide”, now printed in 5 languages. His travel schedule takes him all over North America as Emcee/Comic/Keynote Speaker for corporate events and awards shows. He works diligently for Diabetes research and the educational website, Procon.Org. Alan is happy husband to former Miami model Tanya Callau and proud ‘Pops’ to sons Brennan (Entrepreneur), Robin (Rock Star), and Carter (USC student)…as well as grandsons, Tyler (May ’08), and Julian (April ’10). ### TERYL ROTHERY (SUZIE) - Vancouver native Teryl Rothery began her entertainment career as a dancer at age 13 when she performed in her first musical, Bye Bye Birdie. She made her first television appearance five years later on a CBC Halloween special. After performing voiceover work for the English-language version of the popular anime series “Ranma ½,” she made her telefilm debut with the Christopher Reeve drama “Mortal Sins” – her first of more than two dozen made-for-TV movies in 10 years. Her theatrical features include the family films “Andre,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” and “Masterminds” with Patrick Stewart. She was featured in the acclaimed comedy “Best in Show,” and held co-starring roles in “Video Voyeur” with Angie Harmon, “The Book of Ruth” with Christine Lahti, “Twelve Days of Christmas Eve” with Molly Shannon and “Whisper” with Josh Holloway. Her many television credits are studded with genre series. Most recently, she had a guest star role in The CW’s longest running hit, “Supernatural” and their sophomore show, “iZombie.” She also had guest appearances in the fan favorite FOX series, “The X-Files,” as well as Showtime’s “Jeremiah,” “M.A.N.T.I.S,” and “The Outer Limits.” Her recurring roles include SyFy’s “Caprica,” The CW’s, “Arrow,” and “Hellcats,” to name a few. (MORE) Teryl’s television career also extends into animation, where she has been the voice of lead and supporting characters for multiple animation series such as; “Dragonball Z,” “Robocop,” “Reboot,” “Little Prince,” “Barbie,” “Care Bears,” and “Martha Speaks.” Teryl has received three Leo Award Nominations, one for her portrayal of Dr. Janet Fraiser in “Stargate SG-1” (Best Supporting Performance by a Female), another for her terrific performance in “The Collector” (Best Guest Performance by a Female), and most recently for her recurring role in “The Guard” (Best Supporting Performance by a Female). She was also nominated for a Jessie Award for her role as Claire in Tempus Theatre’s 2007 production of A Delicate Balance. Teryl is best known and loved for her portrayal of Dr. Janet Fraiser on “Stargate: SG-1,” and her starring role opposite Andie MacDowell in Hallmark’s original series “Cedar Cove.” .
