Sampler Scarf Materials: Size 7 needles 4 skeins of worsted weight yarn in four contrasting colors Size J/10 crochet hook Scrap piece of yarn Using the scrap yarn crochet a chain of 40 stitches. Switch to yarn C and begin Purl Triangles pattern. Switch to yarn A and knit 8 rows. Switch to yarn D and begin Fern Diamonds pattern. Switch to yarn A and knit 8 rows. Switch to yarn B and begin Brick Stitch pattern. Switch to yarn A and knit 8 rows. Switch to yarn C and begin Purl Triangles pattern. Switch to yarn A and knit 8 rows. Switch to yarn D and begin Fern Diamonds pattern. Switch to yarn A and knit 4 rows. Next row: *kfb, k. Repeat from * until last stitch, kfb. (50) stitches. Knit 1 row. Next row: *kfb, k. Repeat from * across row. (75) stitches. Knit 4 rows. Bind off. Work the other end of the scarf. Purl Triangles 13th row: K2,*yo, k2, sl 1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k1; rep from * to last stitch, k1. 15th row: K2, *yo, k3, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k3 yo, k1; rep from * to last stitch, k1. 16th row: Purl.
