The meeting also noted that most of the beneficiaries during 2010-11 have undertaken their trade in their own land, and hence there was no area which can be considered as compact area. 1) ZO LAM :- Zolam area is located at a distance of 2 Km from the village. It covers 20.8 hectares starting from Tarpho Road in the North to Chhimtuipui River in the South; from Paawh Lui (stream) in the East to Tuichang River in the West. It was suggested that this area be utilized for cultivation under the soil & water conservation department. 2) HNAHTHIAL KAR KAWNG : It is located at a distance of only half a Kilometer from the nearest Motor road. It covers 14.4 hectares, which is surrounded by Ramri lui (stream) in the North, Tuipui River in the South, Paawh lui (boundary of Khawhri village) in the East and Tarpho-Paawh lui in the West. It is covered by trees and bamboo vegetation, and there is no good source of water for irrigation. These three areas will be sufficient to accommodate all families who will need land to undertake land based activities in the future. It is located to South-West of the village at a distance of around 3.5 Km. The land is favourable for livestock rearing activities. ii) MANGTUAL RAM : It is located at a distance of around 4.5 Km from the village. It is surrounded by Surdil Lui (stream) in the North, Kawngpuikam – Vaiza in the East and Tiau River in the West. It faces the East and covered by trees. iii) HMUNDO RAM : It is located to the West of the village at a distance of 3.5 Km. It is surrounded by Badung lui (stream) in the North, Sairil ngaw lui (stream) in the South, a village (Bualpui ‘H’ village) in the East and Nisapui luikawr (ravine) in the West. The land is good for livestock rearing and it also supports horticulture, agriculture and mulberry plantation. It is composed of trees and bamboo vegetation. iv) NGIRTLU : It covers an area starting from Ral ram in the North to a village (i.e. Cherhlun) in the South; from Khawthlir in the East to Tuiphai in the West. The land is suitable for cultivating agriculture and horticulture crops; but water supply is not available. v) VAVU : It starts from Zinkawng Mual in the North to Hriangmual in the South; from Lungchhia in the East to Tuantui Lui in the West. It is covered by trees and bamboo vegetation and has favourable slopes. However, there is no sufficient water supply in this land.
