Theft of secure pedal cycle from front garden of house. Taken just after 7am. Intel from the area suggests a man was seen to walk onto the garden and pick up the bike to carry it away. Friday 13th July. 0089 13/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Ten acres, Alcester. Man approached house and asked for scrap metal. Was seen to look around garden before asking. The man then got into a van and it drove off towards Throckmorton Road. The van had decals on all sides advertising a business which included driveway services. The caller checked with the company advertised and they had sold the van some time ago. The last three letters of the registration number were ‘VVM’. Full details of the business advertised, and the full registration number passed to police. Comments on Facebook suggest that the Van and Occupants may have been involved with the theft of pedal cycle from Castle Road. 7.40am Friday 13th July. 0087 13/07/2018 • *Attempt Burglary Residential. Avon Crescent, Alcester. Kitchen window to ground floor flat cracked and the beading around it removed. Entry not gained. Overnight 11th & 12th July. 0258 12/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Pub, High Street, Alcester. Man has used a fake £20 at pub. When the change was given he ran off and got into a White Audi A3 parked nearby. Described as a white male, stocky build, 30’s, 6’, tanned, wearing a blue top and a baseball cap. 6.20pm Monday 9th July. 0385 09/07/2018 WIXFORD • *Suspicious Circumstances. Road leading to Oversley Castle area, Wixford. Report of three dark coloured hatchback vehicles parked in the lane. Occupants smoking cannabis. Ongoing problem. 10.45pm Friday 13th July. 0515 13/07/2018 BIDFORD • *Anti-Social Behaviour. Alleyway between Icknield Close and Tower Hill. Group of people smoking cannabis in the alleyway. 11.40pm Tuesday 10th July. 0541 10/07/2018 • *Vehicle Crime – Interference. Grafton Lane, Bidford. Three men from a Tan coloured VW Crew Cab Pickup seen to try and gain entry to a works van. Entry was not gained, and the men and vehicle drove away. Described as three white males in their 20; s. 3pm Monday 9th July. Crime No: 23/27947/18 • *Suspicious Circumstances – Two calls. Wharrad Close, Bidford. Yellow van seen to park in the close. The occupants were seen to help themselves to fruit off a tree on private land. They then stood at the back of the van for a few minutes with the door open. Not seen to do anything else. Both Callers concerned that the occupants were scoping out the area. The last three letters of the registration number were ‘FNM’. Full details passed to police. 8.50pm Sunday 8th July. 0446 08/07/2018 BINTON • *Damage. Church Bank, Binton. Electric gate pulled out of one of its hinges and control box on gatepost tampered with. May have been done in order to gain access to property. Reported 7.40pm Thursday 12th July. 0452 12/07/2018 WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS WELFORD • *Suspicious Circumstances. Long Marston Road, Welford. Near to the village stores. Three men from a Silver Renault Clio seen on a building site taking wooden stakes and insulation. The vehicle was last seen driving towards Binton and then the Billesley Cross roads. The driver had a hi-vis jacket on. The last three letters of the registration number were ‘OZS’. Full details passed to police. Awaiting confirmation from the owners of the building site that items had been stolen. 7.40pm Thursday 12th July. 0458 12/07/2018 COUGHTON • *Suspicious Circumstances. Coughton Fields Lane. Coughton. Three vans seen in the lane, driving at speed, skidding etc. One of the vans appeared to be being towed. Caller concerned that one of the vans had been stolen. 7pm Monday 9th July. 0399 09/07/2018 STUDLEY • *Suspicious Circumstances. Three calls received. Studley. Two men in a Red Boxer style van trying to sell Samsung TV’s from the back. Last three letters of registration number ‘VKB’. Men described as white in their 30’s. 4.50pm Thursday 12th July. 0361 12/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Node Hill, Studley. Two men, in their 20’s, seen running down the road. One of the men was wearing all black with black gloves. Caller concerned that they were up to no good. Ran in the direction of Alcester. 3.15pm Wednesday 11th July. 0290 11/07/2018 • *Vehicle Crime – Theft of. Node Hill Close, Studley. Black Ford Kuga stolen without keys. Three men involved. Vehicle possibly went towards the village centre. 3.15pm Wednesday 11th July. 0284 11/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Allendale Crescent, Studley. Occupier saw and heard people outside premises trying the doors. Also seen to try the doors of the neighbour’s house. 11.50pm Sunday 8th July. 0521 08/07/2018 MAPPLEBOROUGH GREEN • *Theft. Shop, Birmingham Road, Mappleborough Green. Theft of garden ornaments and accessories worth £100 by way of shoplifting. Three women (Described as Romanian) have entered the store and have put the items into a trolley before walking out without offering payment. They have been challenged by staff and the items recovered. The three women were using a Black Kia which was later recovered by police after another theft was reported on the West Mercia Police area. 12.40pm Wednesday 11th July. 0102 12/07/2018 • *Theft. Pub, Henley Road, Mappleborough Green. Offenders have cut through a lock and chain to gain access to the rear of the premises. They have then stolen 200 litres of used oil. 4am Monday 9th July. 0131 09/07/2018 PRESTON BAGOT • *Suspicious Circumstances. Preston Fields Lane, Preston Bagot. Three men seen to try and break into garage. All wearing hoodies. The men left into a Gold / bronze coloured VW pickup and drove off. 5.10pm Thursday 12th July. 0356 12/07/2018 HENLEY • *Burglary Residential. St Nicholas Road, Henley. Garage and outbuilding broken into and items stolen including a DeWalt drill, Makita drill bit set and a Maalister Saw. Between 3rd & 11th July. 0340 12/07/2018 WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS • *Suspicious Circumstances. Shop, High Street, Henley. Fake £20 notes used to buy items. Offender described as a white male, stocky build, wearing a purple long sleeve top and an ‘England’ trilby hat. 6.50pm Monday 9th July. 0267 10/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Prince Harry Road, Henley. White van seen in the area. Occupants looking for scrap metal. The last three letters of the registration number were ‘JVV’. Full details passed to police. 5.45pm Monday 9th July. 0372 09/07/2018 • *Suspicious Circumstances. Brook End Drive, Henley. White Van seen in area. Possibly looking for scrap metal. The last three letters of the registration number were ‘BVE’. Full details passed to police. 10.40am Monday 9th July. 0127 09/07/2018 EARLSWOOD • *Suspicious Circumstances. Earlswood Common, Earlswood. Occupier of house looked out of kitchen window to see a man outside looking in. Area searched by police. Nothing untoward found. 10.20pm Wednesday 11th July. 0521 11/07/2018 • *Found. Malthouse Lane, Earlswood. On the causeway. Approx. 100 bottles of Nitrous Oxide found, alongside some balloons. Morning of Monday 9th July. 0057 09/07/2018 TANWORTH • *Burglary Business. Well Lane, Tanworth. Porta cabins broken into and various items stolen including tools and armoured cable. The offenders had gained entry to the site by coming in from Butts Lane, cutting through a fence, through a hedge and then through the grounds of the Church, removing more hedgerow and tree branches to get to Well Lane. Discovered at 5pm Thursday 12th July. 0363 12/07/2018 • *Burglary Residential. Vicarage Hill, Tanworth. Occupant of house was asleep but awoke to find two men in the house. He challenged them and was punched in the face. The offenders ran off up the hill towards the Church. 4.15pm Tuesday 10th July. 0355 10/07/2018 • *Burglary Business. Tom Hill, Tanworth. Secure yard broken into. Shed and workshop then also entered, and items stolen including two grease guns and various tools. Diesel was also stolen from the yard. Between 2pm and 7pm Monday 9th July. 0076 10/07/2018 CLAVERDON • *Burglary Residential. Lye Green, Claverdon. Rear UPVC door at premises “smashed in” and entry gained. Car key stolen. Between 1pm and 4.15pm Friday 13th July. 0329 13/07/2018 ULLENHALL • *Theft. Farm premises, Ullenhall. Several items stolen including, Thirty 6’ green posts, twenty short white posts, thirty green and white posts and electrical tape. Overnight 12th & 13th July. 0150 13/07/2018 NORTON LINDSEY • *Theft. Theft of signs put by the side of the road to advertise a charity event at nearby stables. On-going problem with the signs being stolen. Reported Tuesday 10th July. 0125 10/07/2018 WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS WARWICKSHIRE POLICE – ALCESTER NORTH & SOUTH SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAMS Nitrous Oxide - “Nitrous oxide is a gas with several legitimate uses, but when inhaled it can make people feel euphoric and relaxed. This happy feeling has led to it being nicknamed ‘laughing gas’. Some people also experience hallucinations. However, there is a risk of death as a lack of oxygen can occur when using nitrous oxide. This risk is likely to be greater if the gas is consumed in an enclosed space or if a substantial amount is rapidly used.
