Team USA World and Olympic medalists Jimmy Pedro, Travis Stevens, Marti Malloy AND Team Cuba Olympic medalist Israel Hernandez will teach their skills and impart knowledge to advance the participants to the next level of judo and beyond. All judoka please join us for a great camp to sharpen skills in preparation for the USA Judo Senior Nationals, USJF/USJA Junior National Championships and USA Judo Junior Olympics. Athletes from around the country will be attending to train with local judokas. When and Where? Gridley Road Norwalk, CA 90651 Who Can Attend? • Judoka 8 yrs. old and above • Orange BELT MINIMUM (advanced skills and training will be covered). All others must be approved by the Camp Coordinator and/or Camp Director • Must present current USJF, USJA, or USA Judo card COST Pre-Registration Fees post marked prior to May 4, 2019. $100 per participant, per day (One-day spots are limited to only 10 attendees) $175 per participant, all 3 days Food will be provided to all Camp attendees all 3 days as well as water, Gatorade and snacks. I started judo at the age of 6 and by 17 years old, I was admitted into the Olympic program in Havana, Cuba. From 1987 to 1998 I competed for Cuba, earning countless international medals, including 2 Olympic bronze medals in 1992 and 1996. Upon retiring from competition in 1998, I accepted my first coaching position at the Olympic Training Center in Barcelona, Spain. I would later go on to coach various teams, including, the Puerto Rican national judo team, the Harlingen, Texas National Training Site team and finally the 2008 US Olympic judo team.
