PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Andrew Duchesne once again what a great job Lorraine has done producing our Newsletter with only returning from Holland on Friday. Andrew asked Russell Napper to provide an update of the recent support for the Bega Rally. Russell advised that if the Club is asked to clean up again, 2 people per road are required and it takes about 2 hours. Russell thanked Garry Twyford and Alan Smith for their assistance. Andrew reported that one of his Valliant’s has been overheating and he took it to the Exhaust and Radiator place in Eden (Plugger) who did a great job and for a very reasonable price. The midweek run last month saw 23 people and many cars at Tathra Hotel where a great time was had by one and all. Andrew asked Lorraine and Geoff Exell to speak of the recent travels to Holland. Lorraine said they had a great time and there are many good car museums to visit. Geoff mentioned he had the honour of driving a BMW i8 on the Goodwood Motor Circuit in the UK, reaching speeds of 220-230 kmph. Geoff went on to say, that if you were able to look at the speedo, you must be going too slow. Bryson Banfield then spoke of his recent travels to America and Alaska and what amazed him was the size of the caravans – 5 and 6 duel wheels! AND the 4WD were absolutely enormous. Bryson also said that every second car you see is a late model Mustang! GENERAL BUSINESS: Wayne Milford advised that John Ironfield is selling his 1967 MGB Mark II coupe for $14K which is in good condition and currently on full NSW Rego. For any further information John can be contacted on 02 6492 2177. [Ed: Sold] Bert Alker spoke of a Holden Enthusiast in New Zealand who was given by GMH a 2018 Commodore for his museum in New Plymouth. Bert also advised the owner of the museum had vehicles stored in unused Dairy Sheds which have gone missing. Bryson Banfield advised that he has sold his 911 Porsche and has now purchased a Cayman Porsche to fill the space in the garage. Rhonda Leggett spoke of her pride and joy, a 1942 Morris Series Y ute called Maybelline. Maybelline started her working life in Broken Hill NSW before ending up in Adelaide.
