Appreciation of employees working in National Health Programmes The National Health Mission, Chandigarh issued appreciation certificates to its 54 doctors and 160 Para Medical workers in order to boost their morale and to bring motivation amongst the co-workers. These appreciation certificates were given along with momentos. Their untiring efforts have brought Chandigarh amongst one of the best UTs in parameters under various National Health programmes in the country. The contribution of these employees has made the U.T to achieve 100% immunization. Chandigarh bagged the National Award for the 1st Position (among the Union Territories) in reduction of Infant Mortality Rate today on 30.10.18 at 5th National Summit - Good and Replicable Practices in Public Healthcare Systems in India 2018 by Sh. Jagat Parkash Nadda, Hon'ble Union Health Minister of India at Kaziranga, Assam in the presence of Sh. Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon'ble chief Minister of Assam and other distinguished personalities of the Govt. of Assam & Union Health Secretary of India. In Chandigarh Administration, the department of Health received the Cash Prize of Rs. 10,00,000/- in 6th JRD Tata Memorial Award for sustained efforts in stabilizing population levels and best performing state in reproductive health, gender equality and women empowerment. Kayakalp Award by Union Health Minister Sh. J.P Nadda at Second National Quality Convention in Public Health held at New Delhi. SKOCH - Order Of Merit Awards during the year 2018:- o Tarre Zameen Par-Night Vigil – For reaching the unreached in the Pulse Polio Campaign o PMSMA (Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritv Abhiyan)- To improve the Maternal Health component. • Kayakalp Award- For UCHC-45 o National recognition to Medical Officer and Para Medical Staff (ANM) for their contribution under Poshan Abhiyaan. o National recognition to a private doctor for providing services under PMSMA. SKOCH - Order Of Merit Awards during the year in 2017:- o Selfie By Health Providers (ANMs) for improving and Strengthening the Health Care Services in UT Chandigarh o Alternative Medical Units-Strengthening of Sub Centers in UT Chandigarh for providing comprehensive Primary Health Care. o PROJECT UDDHAR-A Slum Intervention- For improving the MCH services in Urban Slums. Awarded by Govt. of Rajasthan for “An Exemplary Execution of Linking of Aadhar with Birth Certificates” at 3rd Annual Healthcare Summit at Jaipur. Appreciated for good practices at 3rd National Summit at Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh • Alternative Medical Unit (Strengthening of Sub Centers) • Social Networking, Mission Convergence & behavior change communication Appreciated at 4th National Summit at Indore for implementation:- o Aadhar Enabled Civil Registration System for newborns and infants. o Project Udhaar (a Slum Intervention). Achieved top position for RNTCP Programme having more than 90% cure rate and 70% detection rate at 3rd National Summit at Tirupathi. The gesture of giving recognition and appreciation of the contribution by all the Health Staff will go a long way in further improving the services provided by the department and getting more accolades at the National Level. .
