(1) These regulations may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Second Amendment Regulations, 1976. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Schedule to the Indian Administrative Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, under 'Karnataka' for the entries:— (1) Commissioner and Secretary to Government 6 (2) Secretary to Government 4 (3) Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies 2 the following entries shall be Substituted, namely:— (1) "Commissioner and Secretary to Government 7 (2) Secretary to Government 3 (3) Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies 1 (4) Chief Marketing Officer 1 [No. 11031/31/75-AIS(II)-A] (73) 74 THE GAZETTE OP INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II~ G.S.R. 26(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Service Act, 1951 (61 of 1951). read with rule 11 of the Indian Adminis- trative Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Gov- ernment of Karnataka, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Administrative Services (Pay) Rules, 1954, namely:— 1. (1) These rait* may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Second Amend- ment Rules, 1976. (2) They shall come into force on the date of ficir publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In Schedule HI-B to the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Ruleis, 1954. against "Karnataka", the entry "Chief Marketing Officer" shall be inserted in column 2 after the entry "Senior Assistant Commissioner/Gazetted Assistant to Divisional Commissioner/ Special Deputy Commissioner."
