TABBERT, Rose Marie Tabbert (Abstracted from https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/orlandosentinel/obituary.aspx?n=rose-marie-tabbert&pid=138751053) Rose Marie Tabbert, a longtime resident of Kissimmee, passed away on Jan. 15, 2010 at age 78. She was the eldest daughter of Dominic Angelo and Mary Katherine (Browne) Kountz. Born June 22, 1931 and raised in Mobile, AL, Rose was a 1950 graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and attended Spring Hill College. In 1953 she married Thomas Richard Tabbert Sr., with whom she shared 53 wonderful years until his death in 2006. As a young woman, Rose worked for 15 years as a nursing assistant for a physician in Mobile and subsequently spent ten years as a secretary and then an agent for a real estate office in Clearwater, FL. In 1978, Rose and her husband retired to Kissimmee where she pursued her passion for gardening. She was an active volunteer with the Osceola County chapter of the Florida Master Gardeners from 1983 to 2003 and, until very recently, continued to care for her extensive home gardens and orchid collection. She is survived by her son Thomas Richard Jr. (Rick) of Kissimmee; daughter Jacqueline and son-in-law Steven Gutstein of Palmetto, FL; brother Samuel Kountz (Alma) of Boynton Beach, FL; sister Leonora Fagarason (Ken) of Chicago, IL; sister Barbara Melton (Douglas) of Silver Hill, AL; brother Robert Kountz (Patricia) of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law Dora Barnes of Mobile, AL; brother-in-law Charles Tabbert (Betty) of Ellenton, FL. She was buried together with her husband in Section 8, Site 204 at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL. In keeping with her wishes, no services were held. TACY, Charles Mitchell Tacy (Abstracted from https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/berkshire/obituary.aspx?n=charles-tacy&pid=154909246) Charles Mitchell Tacy, age 81, of Venice, FL, formerly of Lee, passed away December 3, 2011 after a brief illness. Charles was born July 19, 1930. Mr. Tacy was a graduate of Lee High School in Lee. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bryant College, and his Master's Degree in Banking from Brown University. During the Korean War, Mr. Tacy served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, working in Tactical Air Command. He was also active in 4-H raising Herefords for show, and won many ribbons. While in Lee, Charles served as Treasurer, Vice President, and Mortgage Officer at Lee Savings Bank for 35 years. He also served on the Finance Committee for the town, and also served on the Berkshire Housing Authority. A loving, caring, and patient man, Charles was the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and the American Cancer Society. He was also a charter member and past President of the Lee Lions Club, a member and Treasurer of the Congregational Church, and Past Master of the Evening Star Lodge. Charles and Ruth moved to Venice, FL, in 1983, where he joined Century 21 Real Estate, South Bay, and later joined Sunshine Properties. He pioneered the paid air business in the area for 10 years, and acquired the Island Laundromat in Venice, which he operated until his death. Charles was a member of the Sahib Shriners, active in the Oriental Band Unit, and serving as President for 2 years and Treasurer for many more. He was Past Camaxtli and an Oket in the order of Quetzalcoatl Tecoli #183, a member of the Venice Shrine Club, and the Venice Yacht Club. He and his wife enjoyed cruising and traveling, around the world and in the United States. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles is survived by Ruth, his wife of 55 years, son Richard W. Tacy and daughter Cherylann Tacy, both of Venice, FL, brothers William P. Tacy, Jr. of Lenox, and Donald Tacy of West Hartford, CT, and several nieces and nephews. Charles' life will be celebrated at the Masonic Temple in Venice, 118 E. Venice Avenue with inurnment and military honors in Section 6, Site 611 in Sarasota National Cemetery. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel has been selected to care for arrangements. TAGGART, Donald Eugene Taggart (Abstracted from https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/heraldtribune/obituary.aspx?n=donald-eugene- taggart&pid=167162637&fhid=8482) Dr. Donald Eugene Taggart was born July 26, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, to Harold and Helen Taggart. He died on September 22, 2013. He graduated 8th grade from St. Sebastian's Catholic School and, in 1952, from St. Vincent's Catholic High School, which later became St. Vincent-St. Mary's Catholic High School. He then took his pre-dental studies at the University of Notre Dame and his dental studies from Marquette University where he graduated as a dentist in June, 1958. He then married his beloved wife, Colleen Deeley, and they lived in Forrestal Village, Great Lakes Naval Station, in Illinois, where he served as a Lieutenant in the Naval Dental Corps. In 1960, Don and Colleen moved to Bellevue, Ohio, to set up his dental practice. They were members of Immaculate Conception Church, where Don became a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.
