With the much needed rain, however, came a series of unwanted power blinks and extended outages throughout the day and evening Monday and into Tuesday. Monday’s rainfall amounted to .55 of an inch in the area and was accompanied by lightning. A lightning strike to equipment is thought to be the cause of the outages, City Administrator Doug Allen said Tuesday morning.
