Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Kirby Dick, a Tucson native, will be here to present his latest film,The Bleeding Edge (see page 13), a documentary that explores the mostly unknown dangers of America’s technologically advanced health care devices. Kirby will answer your questions after the 2pm screening on Saturday, August 11. Alex Cox (Repo Man, Sid and Nancy, Walker) will be presenting four of his favorite Spaghetti Westerns (see pages 23-24) every Sunday in August. Alex literally wrote the book on Spaghetti Westerns and is currently working on a second. While our tribute to Ingmar Bergman continues through August, we are busy working on curating the 9th annual Loft Film Fest. Save the dates: November 8-15. I firmly believe this year’s fest will be the best yet and will offer you some dazzling films to experience. And finally a shout out to everyone who created, supported and attended the 12th annual Loft Kids Fest in July. It’s one of our favorite events at The Loft Cinema!
