Sydney FC’s build up to the 2015/16 Hyundai A-League takes another step forward on Wednesday night week with the first pre season Community match against Earlwood Wanderers FC XI at Leichhardt Oval. The Johnny Warren Community Challenge exhibition match will be part of the pre-season preparation for Sydney FC’s quest for the 2015/16 A-League title. New signings include Andrew Hoole, Brandon O’Neill and Riley Woodcock who will be part of the Sky Blues squad, alongside Alex Brosque, Shane Smeltz and Terry Antonis. Earlwood Wanderers FC are excited to host such an important community event which will also supports the Johnny Warren Football Foundation www.jwff.com.au EWFC Secretary, Jim Tatsis said, “the match brings the football family closer, that is, the A-League and community level football with a number of younger rising footballers having an opportunity to play against their A-League heroes” Sydney FC players commence pre-season training this week as Coach Graham Arnold continues to reshape the squad ahead of what is looming as a crucial 2015/16 campaign. Arnold and assistant coach Steve Corica will be putting the players through a tough pre-season schedule to ensure the team is firing on all cylinders for the season opener at Allianz Stadium on Saturday 10th October against Melbourne City. Entry to the match is $5 for adults with children under the age of 16 admitted free of charge. There will also be an option to buy a Ticket and Beanie offer that helps support the Johnny Warren Football Foundation.
