During more recent times, myself and a colleague, Michael Smith, have been offering chaplaincy to some of the international Scout and Guide camps held around the UK. This might require us to be away from home and parish for up to two weeks. For us this not an insignificant role - some camps can host up to 10,000 young people, plus adult leaders and other staff. We do not see our role as being exclusively Anglican but open.
