The road show provided a venue to showcase the latest developments in Philippine tourism, including new destinations, products, services and travel packages. Important components of the road show included one-on-one meetings, product presentations, business transactions and networking activities with clients. II. Booked Event Short Description: The Asia Pacific Stroke Conference (APSC) is an annual conference involving Stroke and its related diseases, which is held in different countries in the Asia Pacific region. It is an international meeting where experts in neuro- sciences, particularly stroke, deliver their ideas on the present and future aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders specific to the Asia Pacific region. Practitioners, researchers, and those involved in stroke diagnosis and treatment from all over the world will be the delegates/main attendees of this conference. The Stroke Society of the Philippines (SSP) hosted the Asia Pacific Stroke Conference 2019 (APSC 2019 Manila), expected to be attended by a minimum of 600 participants. The conference coincided with the celebration of “World Stroke Day” on 06 October 2019, during which a “Fun Run for Stroke Awareness” was participated in by the delegates of the conference, and other allied company representatives. Booked Event Short Description: SONIK Philippines is the 1st ever Philippine-sanctioned Music Conference x Festival organized by Homonym, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture & the Arts (NCCA). Its goal is to give Filipino Completed musicians a platform to share & improve their craft, connect the local music community with each other & the world, and elevate the Philippine music industry. The 2-day international music business conference and festival was designed to merge the creative & business sides of music in the Philippines, to bridge the gaps within the music community, and promote Philippine music around the world. The sessions centered on the Filipino context & experience. LUXPERIENCE 2019 Inclusive Dates: 07 October 2019 to 10 October 2019 9 companies Venue: International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney, Australia Nature of Activity: International Trade and Consumer Fair Short Description: Luxperience is a travel trade forum based in the Australasia and Pacific region for companies specializing in luxury travel and business events. Completed The event is by invitation only where delegates are thoroughly vetted and qualified to ensure they match the program, the requirements and needs of companies as well as provide new business opportunities for exhibitors. Booked Event Short Description: The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), together with the Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers, Inc. (PACEOS), accepted the invitation of the Asian Federation of Exhibition & Convention Associations (AFECA) for the Philippines’ hosting of its 14th Annual General Meetings (AGM) on 08-12 October 2019 in Manila. Completed The Asian Federation of Exhibition & Convention Associations (AFECA) is the umbrella association of national MICE associations/ organizations from seven countries: China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. Their main goal is to help develop and grow the MICE industry in the region. AFECA has over 131 members, covering 17 nations/regions in Asia. The Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers, Inc. Moreover, PACEOS is one of the founding member of AFECA. Annually, AFECA holds an Annual General Meetings (AGM) of its members which has three (3) components: • Board and Advisory Council Meeting and Annual General Meeting (AGM) The yearly gathering of AFECA Members to discuss issues and concerns of the MICE industry in the region. • Asia MICE Youth Challenge The AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge is open to all students attending an accredited university or college within Asia. It is a platform for future Asian MICE talents to showcase their genius novel event and marketing
