The plan is for illustrative purpose and not exhaustive. The plan has the duties of DDMA, DDMC and Urban disaster management committees. This document contains the district profile and a summary of the information that could be useful during the time of a disaster. To maintain the effectiveness of the plan it is necessary that plan is updated atleast once in a year so that the information remains upto date. 2 District Disaster Management Plan Satna Acknowledgement Disaster Management is not the responibilty of a single person or a single committee. Similarly this paln could not have been completed without the support, help and guidance of numerous people. Contributon of each one of those persons was essential for this plan. I would also like to thank to Mr. Vinay Jain, ADM, Satna District for his guidance and support. I would like of express my deepest sense of gratitude towards my nodal officer and District Commandant, Home guards Mrs. (Dr.) Madhu Ranjan Tiwari for her constant support and making my work a lot easier through her help. Also the support and help provided by Mr. Govind Soni, SLR was very useful for this document to be completed. His experience and intrest in the field of disaster management was very helpful in completion of this plan. I would like to specially mention Rohini Mam (District Facilitator) whose help made my work of data collection very easy.
