It's a flurry of new faces, old friends, and last minute schedule changes. Freshmen adjust to the new pace, sophomores and juniors reacclimate, and seniors take a year to say goodbye. It's difficult to keep it all straight. In the midst of all this flurry, it is sometimes easy to forget the bigger issues confronting all of us. We entrench ourselves in our daily lives, keeping our head above water, trying to reach a balance between academic and social life, and the bigger picture becomes blurred. The problems and issues confronting us, as students, citizens, and people, are still there, even if we forget about them while haggling over the price of a used Econ book. commentary ·· This year Amenca is energized by the presidential campa1gns because both candidates stress the need for fundamental change.
