Known as an American jazz alto saxophonist, composer, bandleader and educator, McLean performed with Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan, Grachan Moncur III, Sonny Rollins, Tina Brooks, Dexter Gordon, Freddie Hubbard and many others. The exact reproduc[on of Jackie McLean’s original alto saxophone mouthpiece was produced in collabora[on with Jackie’s son and saxophonist, Rene McLean.
