Barnett’s album is her personal tribute to Country Music Hall of Fame member Gibson, the writer of the iconic songs “I Can’t Stop Loving You” and “Sweet Dreams.” In addition to these two massive hits, Gibson wrote “Oh Lonesome Me,” “A Legend In My Time,” “Blue Blue Day,” “Oh Such A Stranger,” and the other incredible classics on Barnett’s new album. Barnett and Gibson met in 2001, when the usually reclusive Gibson ventured out to hear Barnett sing at a Nashville venue. That was the beginning of a cherished friendship which lasted until Gibson’s passing in November 2003.
