After a whirlwind engagement on the season 11 finale of ABC’s hit reality dating show “The Bachelorette” in July and the busy national media tour that followed, Bristowe and Booth took a romantic getaway on the Texas Gulf Coast to advance their blossoming relationship. The couple, which posted about their trip on social media, stayed at The Villas at The San Luis Resort – a brand new luxury development that opened in July. Throughout their stay, Bristowe and Booth were spotted holding hands on the beach, shopping in historic downtown Galveston and dining at several of the island’s high-end restaurants, including Rudy & Paco, Gaido’s and Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks. Bristowe, a Vancouver resident and “the most talked about star in The Bachelorette’s history,” said the couple enjoyed taking their first date in Texas when filming the show and was excited to return to the Lone Star State for leisure. “This has been almost like a honeymoon for us after everything we’ve been through,” Bristowe told the Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This has been a perfect little getaway for us,” Booth added. While in Galveston, Bristowe and Booth posted on SnapChat while taking a sunset Ferris wheel ride at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier and while visiting the Lone Star Flight Museum. According to museum president Larry Gregory, he gave the couple an aerial tour of the island in a historic T-41 Mescalero.
