IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PARISH PARTICIPATION IN CHARITABLE DONATION SCHEME Parishioners should receive their 2017 receipts in the post next week with a CHY4 form enclosed for those eligible for the Charitable Donation Scheme. To be eligible for the Scheme, parishioners have to have contributed €250 or more to the parish during 2017. It makes no difference whether they are PAYE, self-employed or self-assessed. Please complete the form and return it in the black box provided in the porch of each church. Parishioners will notice a difference between the amount stated on their receipt and that stated on the CHY4 form. This is due to the fact that the Revenue Commissioners have stated that we can no longer claim tax relief on parishioner contributions to the St. Patrick’s Day, Trocaire, Missions, Pope’s Collection and the Holy Land collections. It is important to remember that parishioners will have to have tax paid for the 2017 Tax Year for us to be able to reclaim. If you have a query, please phone 087 7528378 or 087 7936298.
