To impose a 50 mph speed limit on parts of Leicester Road, and from Station Road to Fleckney Road, Wistow, Fleckney Road, Kilby Road and Kibworth Road, Kilby, Glen Road and Newton Lane, Newton Harcourt and Newton Lane, Wigston 2. To impose a 40mph speed limit on parts of Kibworth Road, Kilby and Kibworth Road, Wistow 3. To impose a restricted road on part of Newton Lane, Wigston A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA and at the offices of Oadby & Wigston Borough 40 Bell Street, Wigston,LE18 1AD at the offices of Harborough District Council, The Symington Building, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough LE16 7AG and the Offices of Blaby District Council, Desford Road, Leicester, LE19 2EP and on the notice board of Fleckney Parish Council and Wistow and Newton Parish Meeting. As a result of this review, the route from Fleckney to Wigston has been identified to have a total number of accidents above the national average. Therefore, in order to increase general safety and reduce the accident rate, the County Council proposes to reduce the speed limit from 60mph to 50mph. An additional section through Wistow, at the Kibworth Road approach to Wistow crossroads is proposed to be reduced from 60mph to 40mph. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40 MPH on the lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule 3 to this Order. 5. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 MPH on the lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule 4 to this Order. 6.
