THIS remarkable new Rotary Combine Milking System now in use at the Walker-Gordon farm, Plainsboro, N. J., a division of the Borden Company, the oldest and largest certified milk producers in the world, is the wonder of all who have seen it. The milking machine equipment was made by De Laval, and while much of this equipment was especially designed by us, yet the principle of milking is the same as that of all De Laval Magnetic Milkers, and the milking itself is exactly the same as that of the De Laval Magnetic. The method of drawing milk into the glass jars without exposure to human hands or other contaminating sources is similar to that of the De Laval Magnetic Combine Milking System, which milks, weighs and conveys the milk from cow to bottle in one operation, and of which there are already a considerable number in use. It is a splendid tribute to De Laval that the great Walker-Gordon organization should recognize the princioles involved in De Laval milking as being correct and should have selected the De Laval organization to design and build their milking equipment. Whether vou may have five or 5000 cows there is a De Laval Milker which can be adapted for your needs, which will milk your cows better, faster and at less cost, and at the same time oroduce more and cleaner milk, than can be done in any other way. ARMSTRONG CORK & INSOLATION CO., LIMITED MONTREAL TORONTO WINNIPEG Canadian History by the Pocketful Not to suggest “dramming”, but the nearest thing we know to a “royal road” to Canadian history comes in our pocket-sized Canadian History Readers. These are convenient little brochures—one hundred titles in all—cover¬ ing pathfinders, heroes, heroines, comrades of the Cross, eminent Canadians and fathers of the Dominion, all by recognized authorities and covering various phases of Canadian history from the days of early discovery to the present. While the readers center largely in outstanding characters, the life and work of these folk are thrown on a background which brings the period they lived in intimately and interestingly before one. These booklets, readable in halif-an-hour, may be used at odd moments and will .contribute a wonderful amount of Canadian history. A few sug¬ gested titles follow: “Lord Strathcona” by iH. A. Kennedy. “The Building of the 1C. P. R.” by H. A. Kennedy “Tecumseh” by Lloyd Roberts “The Hudson’s Bay Company” by Robert Watson. “The Story of Hydro” by Blodwen Davies. REVIEW It’s a Kid Glove Cleaner When scraping carbon off the heads of auto cylinders, a wire brush is: used* The body of the car, however, is cleaned with a chamois skin—the same material from which kid gloves are made. For washing dairy utensils and equipment a cleaner is needed which will work as well and as harmlessly as the chamois skin does on auto bodies. Dairymen have found that Wyandotte Cleaner and Cleanser exactly meets these requirements. They tell us that Wyandotte is a kid glove cleaner be¬ cause it is absolutely harmless to washed surfaces, and yet it cleans thoroughly and quickly. Wyandotte is the kind of a cleaner that dairymen say “Does the job.” And it’s being doing the job in Dairies, Creameries, and Cheese Factories for over 30 years. Wyandotte rinses freely, is harmless to washed surfaces, leaves everything sweet smelling, and protects the quality and value of dairy products.
