MISSION STATEMENT OF THE NURSING DEPARTMENT The PSC Nursing Program prepares students for professional roles in nursing through educational excellence. Students are educated to safely practice at an entry level of competency. The program fosters a commitment to caring, lifelong learning, and collaboration with other disciplines. Diversity and diverse viewpoints are valued. The philosophy is based upon educational excellence which includes evidence-based practice, the nursing process, and teamwork with other health-care disciplines.
